Rose Week sees viewing action at Tralee’s Schoolfield
Twice an Festival escort, in 2000 and 2001, the gallant Mr Carmody is selling this large, c 3,500 sq ft beauty at the Schoolfield, The Spa.

Called Acraí (or A Chroí?), it’s a three kilometre walk home from Tralee’s town centre, and it comes with views over Tralee Bay to Blennerville - all the better placed, so, for watching any pale moons rising over green mountains, or suns declining beneath any blue seas.
Coincidentally for the Rose Festival week that’s just ending, Acraí first graced these pages on its market launch around Valentine’s Day when roses were also all a-bloom, guided at € 520,000: that’s now been upped a bit, to a formal asking price of €545k, which more accurately reflects the serious investment in it, suggests its selling agent.
It’s got a bit of a summer push on, and viewings this week have included people returning for a second view: interest primarily is from returning ex-pats, and those coming from outside the county’s boundary.
Entirely bespoke, high-end to a T (surround sound, heatingin concrete floors) and with five bedrooms and galleried hall, it’s one of a dozen houses in the Tralee area priced at over €500,000. The Price Register shows two Tralee homes making €490k and €530k in 2014.
Ger Carmody says the Spa setting is “prime,” near town and was moved into by the vendors in 2005.
: site was love at first sight for its owners.
