Classic Nordic log house in tranquil setting in Waterford

The owners of this unmistakably Scandinavian-styled log house near Kill village in Waterford ordered their home from a catalogue found in a doctor’s surgery.

Seeking an alternative to a block-built house, they bought this 2,500 sq ft property from a Finnish company, Honkomajet, in 2005.

“It arrived on two 40’ trailers and took nine weeks to put up from start to finish,” says the lady of the house.
