Among those bringing multiple lots and multi-let residential investments to auction in July are Allsop, in Dublin, along with IAMSold/Munster Property Auction, and DNG Creedon, in Cork.
First up is the July 9 IAM Sold sale of 11 houses at An Graig, Inch, Co Kerry, for bids above €450,000, in partnership with Fitzgerald & Associates, Dingle. Also on offer are individual holiday homes in Ballybunion, Kerry, at €100/150,000, in partnership with Horgan Properties Listowel, and a five-bed home, with stables, on two acres at Woodstown, Waterford, for €299,950, in partnership with Property Partners Barry Herterich.
At the lower end of the scale is a one-acre site by Audley Cove, West Cork, and a modernist, 1960s home, the Lookout, Glengarriff, Co Cork, at bids from €69,950, in partnership with REA Celtic Property, Bantry.
Munster Property Auction director, Patrick Convey, says they are witnessing “continued demand for realistically priced property in both rural and urban locations.” Also listed for the July 9 sell-off is the Lion’s Den bar, at the city end of the Douglas Road by St Finbarr’s Hospital, for bids over €380,000, in partnership with Property Partners Matt Fallon. And, the same partnership is also selling the 4,000 sq ft, landmark Nancy Spain’s bar on Barrack Street, at bids over €450,000. The auction lots, including residential, span all six Munster counties and a furtherIAMSold auction is scheduled for October 1.
Also coming next week, over two days, is an Allsop auction, with residential offers nationwide on Wednesday and 80 commercial/investment lots on Thursday July 9. The lots range from multi-million euro investments to a former hospital and a waterfront hotel site in Munster. The derelict 25-bed Cametrigane Hotel, on two acres, in fishing and tourism port Castletownbere, West Cork, is priced at €160/180,000. Also, 28 acres at Taiscuma reservoir, along the River Lee, six kilometres from Ballincollig, at Curraghbeg, Ovens, with 17 acres in forestry, are priced at €250/280,000.
In Ballincollig, No 1 Main Street, an end-of-terrace retail-and-office investment building with takeaway/restaurant, and which earns €24,000 pa, is priced at €195/205,000.
A former medical testing centre at nos 8 and 9 John Redmond Street, in Cork City centre, extends to 3,800 sq ft and is priced at €170/190,000 with Allsop. In Co Tipperary, six retail units, earning €36,0000 pa (nos 1, 4, 10, 13, 15/16/17 & 20) in the Nenagh Quintin’s Way, Pearse Street development, are priced at €230/250,000
Meanwhile, at July’s end, DNG Michael Creedon will auction a five-unit residential investment, Thorndene, on the suburban Cross Douglas Road. The period home, with five one-bed units, is priced at €325,000. DNG’s Cian O’Donoghue, has six own-door apartments at Riversdale, Rathcormac, in north Cork, for €270,000 (sub-€50k each). Also priced at just €50,000 is a do-er upper at Convent Lane, Blackrock village, Cork.
