Munster auction has 20 properties
The mix includes land, public houses, restaurants, mixed-use investments, builders’ projects and private homes, ranging from all six Munster counties: the March event saw 17 out of 20 lots sold on the night, says director Patrick Convey.
In Market Square, Kinsale, there is a 1,500 sq ft restaurant building, over two floors, for €229,000, to be auctioned in partnership with James Murphy & Co, Kinsale and with Lee Properties, Bandon. Meanwhile, a pub and five-bed residence, the Shamrock Inn, Knockanore, in Waterford, is selling for €239,000 in partnership with Property Team Noel Mackey, and is on 1.5 acres in the Blackwater/Bride Valley, near Youghal, Cappoquin, Tallow and Lismore. Similarly priced, at bids over €229,000, is Wall’s Bar, Carrickbeg, Carrick on Suir, in Tipperary, in partnership with Shee & Hawe Auctioneers. Among the other lots are 17 acres with double road frontage, at Meelick, in Clare, for €90,000, and being sold in partnership with Rooney Auctioneers, Limerick. The current zoning/planning is agricultural use.
A two-storey commercial/residential investment, let to a fast-food operator at No 6, Lower Cork Street, Mitchelstown, is priced at €129,950, in partnership with Ted Sheehan Auctioneers, and showing a 10% return.
Another commercial/retail premises, a slim 80 sq m property at Pearse Street, Nenagh, Tipperary, is offered with DNG Michael Gilmartin, Nenagh, for €45,000. In Sheares Street, Kilmallock, Limerick a townhouse rental offers a 10% return, for €59,950-plus, in partnership with Carroll Auctioneers. It’s all on May 7, at the Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork.
