It could be a case of delayed gratification for whoever buys the residential licensed premises Carrig House and who wants to get stuck in behind the beer taps — the place is leased for another year.

The pretty substantial sized bar, in Carrignavar village north of the city, has a three-bed residential element with ground floor kitchen/diner, as well as 450 seat bar, and a large circa 1,000 sq ft lounge, plus another 1,000 sq ft function room.

It’s all for sale with Trevor McCarthy of Irish and European estate agents, who guides at €220,000 and who says all the various elements are in good condition, with available parking.

Carrig House is set by a road junction and has scope to boost turnover in new ownership. The bar becomes available in April 2016, and no details of the current rent are divulged.
