Properties at Yewlands in Maryborough Woods are proving a popular choice with trader uppers in Douglas this year. Seven have sold so far and now auctioneer Jeremy Murphy is expecting similar interest in No 49.

A sound, modern three-bed mid-terraced house with over 1,200 of space it has all the signs of being a well cared for family home. Seeking offers of €265,000, Mr Murphy says the big draw for Yewlands is the fact that it’s within walking distance of Douglas village.

Accommodation includes an oak-floored living room with a timber fireplace at the front and a slate-tiled L-shaped kitchen/dining room with fitted units.

It has a utility room and guest toilet on the ground floor and upstairs there’s a bathroom and three bedrooms, including one with an en suite. In front of the property there’s a paved parking area with space for two cars and to the rear there’s a split-level garden which has steps leading up from the lawn on to a gravel area.

Mr Murphy sold a very similar property in Yewlands for €270,000 recently and expects as good interest in this one. Just one house a year sold in the development in 2011 and 2012. Now the numbers are going up and it looks as if the sale No 49 could be the first of many in 2015.
