Trading up: Killarney home on market for €420,000
A Kerry home to suit victorious footballers, and their footballer wives/girlfriends/partners, is back up for sale, as a sort of final property replay, compete with spa-style four-person hot-tub for soaking tired muscles.
Decked out in true, flamboyant footballers wives’ style is this Killarney one-off, at West Ridge, Gortagullane near Muckross. We featured it back here in 2012 when it carried a €375,000 asking price. It sold for under that asking to a UK-based buyer who used it for holidays, and who added electric gates, an upstairs en suite and other upmarket touches.
Now, it’s priced at €420,000, via agents Property Partners Tadgh Gallivan who say it’s again most likely to be bought as a Kerry base or a holiday home.
There’s a half acre of grounds to disport on, and 2,300 sq ft of space within, with fiery red Schmidt kitchen units only slightly calmed by white marble tops. It’s bright on lots of levels, thanks to lots of glass and gable glazing. Upstairs, the 28’ by 25’ open plan, walnut-floored layout is LED-lit for dramatic effect, and has a home office by a balcony, master bedroom suite with WC, Sliderobes, and a four-person hot tub. Downstairs is split level, with high-ceiling space, two more en suite bedrooms, bath and shower room, all high-end stuff.
A certain sort of trophy home, but don’t expect Donegal buyers.
