Cover story: Home ticks all the right boxes

QUALITY build materials, such as granite sets, start ever before you get to the rectractable sliding front gate of Mosman. This top-drawer home, called after a Sydney/New South Wales suburb, is however, set in Cork, half way between the city and Douglas village. And it’s now for sale.
This stunningly-designed and finished home may look familiar to Irish Examiner readers: we gave it a design feature spread back in 2010, just as it finished up a two-year construction span. Images of its quite timeless design were also later used to promote the 2011 redesign of these Property and Interiors pages. Not only is it as good now as then, the heavily-landscaped gardens have matured all the more since, making it quite the sublime package for home hunters looking for a place with edge, flair and surprising calm.
