There’s a huge back garden with the older style three-bed semi-d called Vermont, set along Cork’s Upper Beaumont Drive.

The garden, up to 150’ long, stretches back towards the more modern neighbours at Willowbank off Blackrock’s Church Road, and at least one of the Beaumont neighbours seems to have managed to build in their back garden: in any case, there’s more room to extend to the back than you could possibly ever want, and the site’s wide enough for a wrap-around two-storey add-on if desired.

It has gas central heating already, windows are aluminium and the drive is cobble-locked in front, and to the side, with cobble paths to a back garden shed. No 54 is on a bus route, near Blackrock, schools and shops and offices in Mahon.

VERDICT: Can take any size extension, and a stroll past the neighbours homes wil give plenty of examples of ways to go.
