Might it be second time lucky for estate agency firm Global Properties in East Cork - gratis of the Irish Examiner? Sale hopes are high in the case of the detached bungalow at the Welsh-sounding spot of Llennoco, with sea views at Garryvoe Lower.

Back in August of ‘13, we covered a larger Ballytrasna East Cork ranch home of 3,900 sq ft for a Global Properties vendor, guided at €625,000 and turning up now, done and dusted, on the Price Register at €550,000.

“Its new owner works out foreign, but his Mum saw the write up in the Irish Examiner, sent it on to her son - who flew home and bought it, showing the power of the Paper,” quips Barry Nagle of Global Properties.
