Mixed site with planning

A site with full planning in place for an infill suburban scheme of two shops and three houses is for sale in Cork’s Ballintemple — where the Marquee series of music events finally wrap up this week.

The site is nos 23-26 along the Blackrock Road in Ballintemple village, opposite the post office and between the two bars by AIB and Cahills butchers: the Venue recently changed hands, and will be re-opened by seasoned vintner Con Dennehy.

The deep site has planning for alteration/conversion of the terraced section of low-slung old cottages and replacement by two commercial units of 1,375 and 970 sq ft, with a central passage leading to three contemporary-designed single storey dwellings behind (with artificial grass flat roofs), off road. The three range from 1,000 to 1,200 sq ft. A five-year planning grant was issued in 2011.
