THE recently wrapped up Ballymaloe Literary Food Festival is having a positive impact on sections of the East Cork and coastal house market, but whether the bounce extends to little-visited Guileen remains to be seen.

Midleton estate agent Adrianna Hegarty, who is selling this seaside hideaway for its German owners who’ve been here 20 years, says she is seeing a bounce in inquiries on homes around Ballycotton and Cloyne, particularly from Dublin. She puts it down to the positivity of the Ballymaloe event, just two years down now and basking in good vibes.
