This older-style cottage has a €165,000 guide quoted by Niamh Moloney of Sherry FitzGerald’s Cork City office who says there’s great character here (she calls it ‘a little treasure,’) and says it was extended and reroofed about 12 years ago, with double glazing also installed in most windows at that time.

West of Cork City and about a 15-20 minute commute, it’s got lots of space for further extension, adds Ms Moloney.

VERDICT: A very manageable do-er upper.
