Trading up: Tivoli, Cork €550,000
One, or several apartments? How about a block of four? Or seven? Hmm, decisions, decisions.
Up for sale as part of a receivership of 20-plus well-built Cork properties is a block of just four only, own-door 1,000 sq ft apartments at Cork’s Cois Coille in Tivoli.
Just 12 two-bed apartments, facing south with River Lee views, were built in three blocks back in 2001, maturing well. Now, the central block of four is offered by Niall Cahalane of Cahalane Skuse auctioneers, either individually from €138,000, or all-in from €550,000. Each has parking, semi-basement storage, external access front doors, gas heating and an en suite master bedroom. Cois Coille is popular with traders-down and ‘professionals,’ and each of the four currently rents at €11,400 a year, while service charges account for €1,500 of that.
Meanwhile, for the same receiver Ned Murphy of Moore Stephens Nathan, Mr Cahalane has individual apartments and townhouses in Midleton, from €62,000, and compact Kinsale one-beds from €55,000, plus a Mary Street city centre modern building with seven apartments and lift, guiding €550,000 all-in.
Over 20 options to buy, but Cois Coille’s four are the best of the bunch.
