Trading up: Maryborough Hill, Cork €270,000

Last weekend saw several dozen viewings, and offers made, at former show apartments up for sale in Cork’s superb suburban Elden building. Now, a three-bed house within the Maryborough Hill scheme is for sale too, with a lesser price tag.
The three-bed mid-terraced townhouse No 20 Elden carries a €270,000 price guide via Ann O’Mahony of Sherry FitzGerald, who says its 1,200 sq ft of space is bright, with a contemporary elan.
The O’Flynn Construction scheme, near Douglas Golf Club, has a mix of house types (27 houses) and apartments.
Three show apartments went on open viewing Saturday last, with offers now made on the 990 sq ft and 1,150 sq ft two beds, fully furnished and priced at €295,000 and €320,000.
There was lots of oohing and aahing at the so-impressive 2,030 sq ft penthouse, but no offers yet — it’s priced at €695,000.
For more traditional ‘house’ buyers, No 20 (pictured) has a ground floor kitchen to the front, a 20’ by 12’ living room with rear garden access, and guest WC, with three overhead bedrooms, on a sort of split level or half-landing layout. There’s an enclosed, easy-keep walled in back garden.
Refreshingly different designs at highly-landscaped Elden.
