House of the week: Guilcagh Church
Design is a byword, or even a buyword, at Waterford’s Guilcagh Church, near Portlaw. Owned and run as a base for an interior design company by Carmel Malone, it has traded under the name Tinsley Interior Design — thus giving credit to the church’s original Victorian designer, architect William Tinsley, and book-ending its 160 years of history with good looks.
And it’s now for sale, as Carmel Malone is relocating her business, but is holding on to her business name for good luck and good measure.
