Suburban home with plenty of scope has something for everyone

No 3 Ashgrove Drive offers value at a good price, says Tommy Barker

Suburban home with plenty of scope has something for everyone

Will a young, or an older person, come to the buying table for the detached three-bed home at 3 Ashgrove Drive? The 1,100 sq ft home, with a slightly old-fashioned feel, lots of warm wood hues too, but plenty of scope also will have a wide appeal, across the generations — especially given its asking price of €180,000, which puts it within reach of lots of first-time buyers. Location is up by Ballyvolane Cross, by both Dunnes Stores and a Lidl, with a No 7 bus stop also close to hand, and the city centre only a mile and a half away. No 3 has a good number of rooms for its 1,100 sq ft of space, with three first floor bedrooms plus bathroom, and beneath are a kitchen, and three reception rooms.

Auctioneer Jeremy Murphy says it needs some updating, but has central heating, an alarm, an attached garage, and off-street parking, with secure and mature boundaries.
