Woodgrove — would you?

Already under offer at €345,000, this detached four to five-bed house at 28 Woodgrove on Carrigaline’s Forest Road, is hitting a vein of pent-up demand, says auctioneer, Michael Piggott.
It’s under early via the Sherry FitzGerald O’Donovan Daly agent, and the guide is €365,000.
It’s a move-in, ready-to-go proposition — No 28 is a one-off house in an area of large, self-builds and this house meets the criteria of buyers looking for a large, detached property.
At just under 2,400 square feet it has good bedroom space and even better living space on a west-facing site of at least a quarter of an acre, says Mr Piggott.
Detached houses are in strong demand, he adds: the recently released, Kilmoney Woods scheme is doing very well, he notes, with four to five beds starting at €200,000, up to €365,000.
But with no immediately available houses in this range, it’s no surprise there’s active bidding on No 28, he says.
A really lovely house, he states, it’s beautifully landscaped with cobble lock driveway with a location that’s just a walk to Carrigaline village — and schools.
“It’s built to a high spec, is very well finished and is positioned overlooking a large green area to the front and backing onto a west-facing garden.
“This imposing property has an abundance of living space combined with well proportioned bedrooms with two en suite bathrooms,” he adds.
Rooms include a double length living room with patio doors outside, a family room that’s only slightly smaller, kitchen/ dining room with breakfast area, utility and guest bathroom, all on the ground floor.
Upstairs, the master bedroom and second bedroom are en suite and they’re followed by two double rooms and a single/ study, which share the main bathroom. And to finish off, the rear patio includes a deck, aluminium shed and a gazebo — fancy.
VERDICT: Ticks all the trading up boxes. Go see.
