HOUSES that are dickied up for sale are often a let-down when it comes to the bedroom department.

The grandeur, exquisite taste and comfort of the ground floor often seem to stop at the stairs, as if the place where one spends half one’s life is somehow less important. Not so. A bedroom has to be one of the more important rooms in a house, yet bedrooms are often a disappointment in viewing terms and bland at best.
