Carrying a €90,000 asking price is 2, St Anne’s Park, a mid-terraced townhouse in Cork’s Turner’s Cross - but there’s cheaper still, closer to town. An Allsops auction in early October features a 350 sq ft former corner shop/pharmacy by Capwell Road, with a €20,000 reserve. But it’s small and not quite domestic.
An easier buy so will be 2, St Anne’s Park, listed with Cohalan Downing, and subject to about 20 viewings so far. It’s got a 70’ long back garden, and is a 15-minute walk to the city centre.
VERDICT: Nice settled mature location.
Pitched both at first-time buyers and traders down is 15, The Grove, a semi-detached bungalow in the popular Gleann na Rí development in Tower, near Blarney.
Selling agent Gary O’Donnell of ERA Downey McCarthy seeks offers around €125,000 for the home, which faces a green and woodland, a short commute from Cork city.
There’s a good 18’ by 12’ front reception room with bay window, rear kitchen/dining room, and three bedrooms plus main bathroom. There’s a fully cobbled rear garden with south-west aspect.
VERDICT: Already under offer approaching the asking price, and in good condition as it stands, No 15 will be an easy to maintain home for new occupants.
