Sporting offers wanted

Sporting offers are to be sought for the former ESB Workers’ Association grounds at Cork’s Curraheen Road.

Being sold via DTZ Sherry FitzGerald for the ESB’s Property Department, the seven acre plot with 14,000 sq ft of buildings is adjacent to lands recently bought by UCC and the Munster Agricultural Society, and will be of interest to a range of groups and clubs.

Guiding €400-€600,000, Peter O’Flynn of DTZ notes that it is just off the Ballincollig bypass opposite Curraheen Park Greyhound Stadium and near the new St Patrick’s Hospital and Marymount Hospice campus, a kilometre west of Bishopstown.

It was previously used as a sports ground with pitches, with two storey sports hall with multi-use courts, lounge bar, etc.
