And, now it will be blazing gavels time on Oct 3 when Allsops run their autumn sale, their biggest yet, with 127 lots, to include a former Cork pharmacy building with a €25,000 reserve, and a Tipperary convent on five acres for €10,000. Also in the mix is the former Cork city pub Paddy the Farmers, with a €480,000 reserve via receiver Barry Donohue of KPMG, down from a one-time market sales high of €2m, and a 2011 price guide of €925,000, to include its nine apartments.
Other Cork lots include a modern business unit at 25 East Gate Drive, Little Island, a c 3,000 sq ft unit with a €95,000 reserve, and a small c 336 sq ft former pharmacy at Turners Cross, guiding a mere€25,000.
In all, there are 77 residential properties, 50 commercial properties, two hotels, six pubs and eight pharmacies, with a total of €15.5 million combined reserves. The Tipperary convent is the Sacred Heart, Roscrea, with 19th century building, including a school, convent, retreat house, sports grounds, and more, on five acres, with a €100,000 reserve.
In contrast, a Dublin Georgian property at 34 Fitzwilliam Place and a mews at 34 Leeson Close are being sold as one lot, with a combined reserve of €850,000.
