Prime Dublin bar/nightclub venue
The very successful South Great Georges Street business was initially developed by Jay Bourke and Eoin Foyle back in the expansionist 1990s before changing hands.
It’s now being marketed for receiver Tom Kavanagh, of Kavanagh Fennell, by agents CBRE. who say the 5,500 sq ft offering is a very viable business and “a superb opportunity to acquire a prime city centre bar and nightclub in the centre of Dublin’s entertainment district.”
It’s close to TCD and Temple Bar, as well as Grafton Street, in a milieu with a lively mix of bars, nightclubs, restaurants and theatres.
There’s a ground floor in traditional bar style, basement services, and to the adjoining rear of the bar area is the more contemporary-style nightclub Rí Rá at basement level, with separate access from Dame Court.
CBRE’s John Hughes of CBRE says the Globe mix is superbly located, with a substantial and increasing annual drinks-only turnover being generated in the premises, and there’s considerable scope to further improve this business.
