Kenmare semis for above €40,000
Very low declared reserves should draw the crowds and get pulses racing at Kenmare’s Forelands, where four only, full-furnished two-bed semi-ds are to be auctioned at anything above their €40,000 minimum reserve guides. Agent is Tom Spillane, who is sort of ‘doing an Allsops’ on it, and he says that interest is strong and appetites well whetted.
Jun 1 is auction day for house nos 3, 6 10 and 11 in a scheme of around 30 Section 23 houses which were built by a Limerick consortium and marketed by Dublin agents, and which is largely sold and occupied. The scheme went to market back in 2005, priced from €299,000 upwards for two-beds and were finished out to Four Star Bord Fáilte standard. They’ve been consistent holiday lets, given their closeness to the town centre. They’re timber framed, with gas central heating, and the two-beds at 1,240 sq ft are the same size in area as the three beds.
