Former Cappoquin convent on sale with 12 acres
Now closed for almost a decade, about 100 years after it was built, and newly up for sale with a €450,000 price guide, is the former Convent of Mercy in west Waterford’s Cappoquin.
The large 12,600 sq ft Gothic-style convent building, designed by architect Samuel Francis Hyne and finished in 1903, is on 12 acres on the eastern side, high up above the town, and with 300’ of road frontage, and impressive entrance gate as well.
