Adaptable Glenbeg is a one-off
The dormer home Glenbeg, at Glenview in Cork’s Grange/Douglas suburb is a bit of a one-off. It was built independently, on its own site, to the rest of the estate.
And, it is as suited to a first-time buyer as to a trader-down, says its selling agent Jeremy Murphy, who seeks offers around €225,000 for the detached three-bed home, in good condition.
He reckons it was built in the early 2000s, and as it has one of its bedrooms at ground level (and it is en suite), with a shower room to serve the two upper level bedrooms, it really is adaptable to buyers at either end of the age spectrum.
Glenbeg’s main living room is a decent 18’ by 15’, with a tucked-in fireplace and double aspect, the kitchen/dining room is even larger, with a tiled floor, and there’s enough space to seat six people.
Outside, there’s a decent drive able to take a good few cars. While the detached house is on a good site, the vendors went the low maintenance route, so it’s basically graveled and walled-in with a shed.
VERDICT: Adaptable Glenbeg’s a one-off on its own site, and the Grange suburbs has a host of amenities, a choice of supermarkets and easy access to Douglas and to the ring road.
