Multiple options at Midleton town centre period property

Current interest is being shown in the Midleton town centre period property Midleton House, and its 2.8 acres, says selling agent Joe McCarthy of Irish and European.

The site has scope on each of its various elements, from restaurant/nursing home use in the main residence to offices, plus there’s scope to build on some of grounds — where there’s also a bungalow.

The location of Midleton House spans Main Street, the Rock and Lewis Bridge, in the east Cork town.

Now, Mr McCarthy says the level and variety of interest indicated it will sell in permutations of the up to five lots it has been offered in. While a price isn’t quoted, it’s likely to fetch in the €1.2m to €1.5m bracket.

The property had first been offered several years ago with a substantial, multi-million euro price guide.

It’s an executor sale, associated with the O’Brien family.

The mix includes a substantial period two-storey dwelling, and a bungalow, also needing refurbishment, on a quarter acre.
