Web Watch
Two friends, Harry Villiers, founder member of Villiers Brothers and David Riches of Visual Edge, have launched Vintage Archive. Worth a click to check out the collections of vintage, upcycled furniture and objets d’art. There are some quirky bits there the lads discovered exploring “secret sources in far off places” — very Indiana Jones sounding. So if a horse from an Indian fairground is your thing, or you’re looking for a garden bench made from the oars of a 1930s boat, don’t worry — they deliver worldwide.

2 Prestigious Textiles
A good source for decorating ideas. Lots of trends dancing around this site — there’s an in-house team that develop the soft furnishings featured. All of the designs and collections are exclusive to Prestigious Textiles. There’s everything from contemporary prints to sophisticated silks, sumptuous velvets to diaphanous voiles. You can email them your nearest town and they’ll get back to you with a list of stockists. I love the rug section — all designed to complement the collections. The Disco Azure is my favourite.

3Apartment Therapy
Nosing around ordinary readers’ homes is the big draw to this blog. Have a gander at Ricki and Chad’s classic Cliff May home, Elizabeth and Brent’s rented luxury or my favourite — Daphne’s glamorous nursery. And yes, these are all their actual names! Imagine their houses. Voyeurism aside, you’re bound to get some ideas from the site and it also doles out handy advice. Do you have tight living space? They’ve launched their Who Has the Smallest, Coolest Home in the World competition. Get clicking.
