Bargains for decorative arts buyers

ANTIQUE bargain hunters will have much to choose from at Mealy’s fine and decorative arts sale in Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny next Tuesday and Wednesday.

Estimates are reasonable in a sale which includes Donegal carpets, Belleek, furniture by Williams and Gibton and Robert Strahan, Irish art, porcelain, British and continental paintings and some Oriental art. The catalogue lists 1,382 lots.

There are items from Loughcrew House at Oldcastle, Co. Meath and the estate of late journalist Cathal O’Shannon.
