THE limestone entrance pillars of an older house mark the entrance way to Carrigdubh, a barely-glimpsed collection of nine townhouses on Cork city’s Blackrock Road, opposite Menloe Stores.

The houses are of a popular template or type and built on a range of infill/old Cork suburban and sites — they were especially popular with traders-down.
