Moving on: One-off house is fantastic

A FANTASTIC house — that’s how auctioneer Dan Howard of Dooley and Howard describes a recently-built, one-off in the country.

Called Glendarragh, it’s private, up a long approach avenue by a field off the Mondaniel Road, half a mile or more out from Rathcormac and near the main Cork-Dublin motorway too.

Georgian-styled, with modern comforts, the two-storey house on a half acre plot 25 minutes from Cork city is a shoe-in job, with two of its five bedrooms en suite, and has oak doors, stairs and other internal joinery.

Room sizes are very decent, with a 31’ by 13’ kitchen, for example, and there are two jacuzzi baths in all, one in the master bed en suite.

VERDICT: Really good use of space, with large rooms.
