YOU don’t get to appreciate Woodbine Cottage — and the work done to it — when first glimpsing it from the road. From inside, though, and especially from out the back, it’s a different story: it’s simply packed with character. Take its bold, purple exterior wall colour as just one example of its individuality.

At least 100 years old, the extended cottage at Cork harbour’s Crosshaven, would have been part of the estate of the impressive mansion Crosshaven House — also currently up for sale as reported here earlier this month, but that’s at €1.6 million, so cut your cloth to your measure and budget.
