Two at the right price

THESE modern cottages created a bit of a stir when they were first launched in the late eighties/early nineties in Tower, Co Cork, because they were touted as the first integrated development at that time. They were to have play grounds and even a swimming pool.

The houses were built...the integration — well, not so much.

However, the cute cottages have always traded well, and with Apple Corp just up the road there’s a strong cohort of buyers and renters which is why two properties here should pique interest.

Michael O’Donovan of Sherry FitzGerald is selling No 36 Primrose Hill, a three-bed, family-owned house with a smashing garden, he says, and No 84, a four-bed that will need a bit of modernisation.

The first is on offer at €199, 000 and the second at €210,000, levels that will put both houses in the first-time buyer, or even, the investor category.

Both come with south-facing gardens, says O’Donovan, and both are a short walk to the village centre which has excellent amenities.
