Detached four-bed in Maryborough Ridge is now down to €390,000

A GOOD price reduction comes with a change of agent for Number 6, Wyndgates, a detached, four-bedroomed home in Cork’s Maryborough Ridge estate.

A couple of short years ago, the asking price for this O’Brien and O’Flynn-built home, high up above Douglas village, was €485,000, now it is down to €390,000 with agents Sherry FitzGerald.

No 6, Wyndgates, was built four years ago, and has 1,270 sq ft (although it looks larger) of space, and auctioneer Ann O’Mahony says it has been finished to a very good standard internally. It has solid-oak flooring in the front living room, with white marble fireplace, and double doors in cherry lead to a rear, formal dining rom, with tile floor and patio garden access.

There’s a good, long kitchen with a breakfast/informal dining spot at its rear by a shallow bay window, flooring is travertine and units on both side are in cherry and topped with black granite, with a utility to the side passage.

Upstairs are four bedrooms, one on the small side, the master bed has good, mirrored sliding wardrobes and is en suite.

Although rented out for the last while pending a sale, overall decor is excellent, with some high quality extras, good lighting, etc, and the front drive is almost wholly brick-paved, with some landscaping at the edges.
