A wow one to eye up in Waterford

THERE’S a bit of a wow factor to Waterford city’s 18 Williamstown Park — though the first floor extension with apex window is the only clue from the outside that there’s more than meets the eye inside.

A wow one to eye up in Waterford

This four-bed semi near Grange Manor and Johns Hill is new to market with agents Sherry FitzGerald Rohan, who seek €260,000 for the designer-look family home.

They say the extended semi has been “completely refurbished in contemporary style.”

Fairly open plan at the back, there’s a wide kitchen/dining room with a particular feature — over a dozen glass blocks set in a pattern into the dividing wall with the house’s formal front room.

It allows a modicum of light through, without impinging in any way on privacy or sound transfer: the fact the glass blocks are about 4” deep allows them to fit fairly readily into a standard concrete block or even stud partition wall.

Also above spec here is the quality of lighting, either track or recessed, and with some floor LEDs, as well as LEDs in the steps up to the main bathroom’s raised/sunken Jacuzzi bath.

Strong, unabashed block colours are used here, the front reception has a Stanley stove and maple floor, while the rear kitchen’s crisp units are also in maple. Other rooms include a utility and playroom.

Overhead, the good-sized master bedroom is en suite, with a walk-in wardrobe, the next two bedrooms have built-ins, and bedroom four (in the extension portion) has a tall, feature glazed apex window, plus a walk-in wardrobe.
