BUILT at the end of the last Great Depression, the 1930s Art Deco-style home The Haven, is for sale in the teeth of another tough time economically — but this lofty place is at least in as good a shape as it has been in its long lifetime.

The four-bed detached c1,600 sq ft home in Cork city’s Sidney Park has been in the same ownership through the last decade and was bought in 2001, with improving work done then and into 2002 by its owners who’d relocated at the time to Cork from Dublin.
