One down, selling well, one now to go
The older-style, 1940s, 1,450 sq ft semi-d St Mary’s, in the niche upmarket Woolhara Park, made about €550,000 after hitting the market in July of this year, with its inner Douglas location and aspect strongly in its favour. Despite now needing modernisation, viewings were strong for this larger-than-average, mid-1900s semis and several bidders gave chase.
Another sort of proposition is No 2, Willowmere off Coach Hill, extended to its right hand side with a good mix of living and sleeping spaces. First offered in March, 2007 with a €900,000 price tag, the four/five-bed Cork family home in Rochestown is priced at €525,000 by its Dennis Guerin, of Frank V Murphy & Co, who says there’s a current €475k offer on it.
