Castlelands sees market recovery

CASTLELANDS Construction based in Mallow has four developments which are receiving a lot of attention from clients, dominated by the first-time buyers sector: The Mews in Mallow, Castle Court in Whitechurch, Castle Heights in Carrigaline and Abbey Wood, Midleton.

Michael Piggot of auctioneers Sherry Fitzgerald is responsible for the latter two developments. Abbey Wood is on the outskirts of Midleton, just minutes by foot from a protected woodland area. Castle Heights is a short walk from the town centre.

“First-time buyers are active and actively looking at the moment,” notes Michael, “Basically, it’s about finding good value and there’s exceptionally good value out there at the moment.”

For example, he cites three-bedroom townhouses in Castle Heights starting at €189,000, three-bedroom semi-d’s from €220,000 and four-bedroom semi-d’s from €245,000.

“There’s a good range of house types in all four developments,” says Michael. “They’re all in good locations. Mallow and Midleton would be two of the best trading towns in Cork. Carrigaline and Whitechurch offer easy access to the city.
