It was not her beauty alone won me... fab Tralee five-bed

A YOUNG couple, in the building line, put their expertise into this edge of Tralee home – and now are ready to go again, with a new build.

Their finished home, a mile from the town, is only a few weeks on the market and is creating a bit of a local stir – as well as having its own YouTube three minutes of fame movie clip as part of the vendor’s sale process.

In the same period as the Rose of Tralee/Festival of Kerry TV saturation coverage, this Leith, Tralee home managed over 100 on-line viewings – and is even better in the flesh, says auctioneer Pat Crean of Sherry FitzGerald Crean Stephenson.

He guides the pristine, five year-old 2,770 sq ft dormer home at €395,000, and says there’s been a swift reaction from would-be buyers who’ve been sitting on the fence with houses sold, as well as others who’ve rushed to put their own homes up for sale for the chance to buy this offering.

He says it has been impeccably maintained, and it has, inside and out, with special plaster finishes outside, and the dormer windows front and back are clad in cream pvc sheeting for a crisp, modern look. Windows to the front at ground level are sliding sash, and pvc to the back – and the sash wins on the aesthetics front.

The decor is contemporary, and the central hall in beyond the double hall doors has a central, feature split staircase, going left and right to an airy landing.

The main, split level living/dining area is close to 1,000 sq ft, with solid wood flooring and deep Georgian-style windows, while the mint kitchen has cherry wood units, granite tops, and a peninsula unit faced in warm brick.

One of the five bedrooms is at ground level with an access bathroom, and has scope to be a home office, study or play room, while overhead, two of the four other bedrooms are en suite, with modern twin glass ‘his ‘n hers’ sinks in one of the bathrooms, and the master bedroom has a dressing room.

There’s a good flow and mix of rooms, all well finished, the exterior is freshly landscaped (there’s an acre here), with rows of trees planted to screen neighbouring properties, paddock fencing, while the tiered back garden is expansive, with a graveled walkway to a compound, and there’s also a new steel shed.

“There’s very swift interest in this Leith property, on the Listowel road, as the lack of recent development has meant choice is contracted, this is a seller of a property,” reckons Pat Crean.
