Architect design on west Cork shore
This section of shoreline holds a fascination for Continental European and UK buyers, and, in this case, the couple selling up after years in residence are, indeed, Dutch. And, going Dutch, they’ve assigned the sale of this quite special Ardnaturrish property to not one, but two selling agents, local auctioneer John O’Neill, of Celtic Properties, and Dominic Daly, in Cork city.
They pin a €690,000 asking price on the main, four-bed house, on about ten acres of land, with shore frontage, and then, if a buyer wants more space, there’s an option to buy up to 40 acres, all-in, including a derelict, two-bed stone cottage – but this pushes the price up quite considerably, although a firm AMV isn’t given for the larger land option which won’t ever have a farm return for this sort of amenity value. But, then, in a setting like this, value is in the eye of the beholder.
