With prized Moorings address in Schull

HOUSES at the Moorings, in Schull, west Cork, are considered among the most-prized and pricey addresses in Schull – and most of the eight have been extended since they were built.

One of those left in its original size and feel is up for sale with an adjusted, summer 2010 sale price: the estate agent, Martin Swanton, now quotes a price of between €550,000 and 600,000 for the three-bed home, which is set on largely communal grounds, with unobstructed Schull harbour views and bay and village amenity proximity.

This slate-roofed, dash exterior house, which has 1980s architectural aplomb, is largely open-plan at ground level, with chunky, timber kitchen units, an open fireplace, a conservatory with overlooking, interior balcony, one ground-floor bedroom, and two more overhead, which are accessed via a spiral stairs.
