Trade in your home up to €550,000 against site value

IN a still market, you have to have an angle, so estate agent Sam Kingston has come up with a unique selling point for three sites, at Lee Carrow, in Cork’s Passage West.

He will take a buyer’s existing home as a trade-in, up to a value of €550,000 against the sites, which weigh in at a hefty €650,000 apiece. His client is offering a long contract of sale – allowing a purchaser a year in which to build, while staying in their own home – and it cancels out double mortgage and rent payments.

The sites will cost upwards of €100,000 in cash/money with the rest of it trade-in/mortgage, but it will be up to an individual’s lawyers to parse out the details of any contracts. It could work for those trapped in houses they can’t sell, but with the wherewithal to trade upwards.
