Save your budget at Riversdale

IT is not such a long way to Tipperary for any relocating Department of Justice officials moving from Dublin – and, appropriately enough, those relocating to Tipp town are from the Department’s immigration and naturalisation services (INIS.)

Save your budget at Riversdale

When they do get to town they’ll find the curiously named village of Toem nearby (well, eight miles away), where their house hunting euros will go a far further distance than they would have done in the capital. Limerick junction is half-way between Toem and Tipperary town for rail users.

Young local builder Wayne O’Dwyer is building seven detached houses in Toem, in a scheme called Riversdale, with a choice of two types, of 1,900 and 1,950 sq ft, plus 300 sq ft garages, at selling prices from €335,000.

Selling agent Tim Ryan of Sherry FitzGerald Ryan says construction is underway, with one house and the showhouse completed and available.

The houses are concrete built, with B BER ratings, have granite sills, and limestone facades, and have two of their four bedrooms en suite, fully fitted kitchens, and bedrooms have built-ins. Houses are being sold painted, with tiled hall, kitchen and utility, and heating is oil fired and zoned.

The high spec, says Mr Ryan, includes recessed lighting, pre-wiring for tv, phone, alarm system, broadband, and optional extras include AV packages and central vacuum.
