Take €300,000 from the price, and add on a sun-room with lovely views

BACK on the market after a period in rental use, and all freshened up as well, is the detached, 2,000 sq ft Montenotte Cork home, number two, Springfort.

Back in late 2006, as the market started to droop, it went up for sale, rather optimistically seeking €750,000. That market droop has since turned to full-on decline, and now that number two is back for sale, its asking price is a massively discounted, more realistic €450,000. Its owners moved out a few years ago, when they built a large, contemporary home across the city, in Douglas, and now have appointed Michael O’Donovan, of Sherry FitzGerald, to sell their old Springfort home.
