House by the bay, with possibility of second build

THERE’S possible scope for a second dwelling at the old-style semi-detached No 1 Atlantic Villas, near Fennell’s Bay, just beyond the mouth of Cork harbour.

The house and site have views across sloping fields to the harbour mouth and Roches Point lighthouse, and beaches like Fennell’s Bay (pictured) are a short enough walk away.

The main dwelling, one of a pair of semi-detached, has two first floor bedrooms, another optional bedroom at ground level, living room and kitchen. It is a buy not for the faint hearted, but may well suit an enterprising buyer who isn’t put off rolling up the sleeves and doing a deal of renovation, and then moving on to building and servicing another dwelling anew on the site.
