D’Unbelievable price
The former family home of d’Unbelievables and Killinaskully star, actor and musician Pat Shortt finally got sold in the year just ending.
The smartly-refurbished period terraced Shortt family home No 3 The Tontines in Castleconnell was placed on the market back in 2006, when the market was in full swing, as personified by Shortt’s hymn of praise to the food that fuelled the boom, the Breakfast Roll Song.
Almost four years on, it is finally in new hands, having sold quietly via Limerick agents O’Connor Murphy Gubbins who’d picked up its listing in 2008. Price wasn’t disclosed, but is likely to be around the €600,000 mark, down from 2006 higher hopes of €850,000 or more. The Shortt family had bought a period mansion Worldsend, as the market came to peak in 2005 for €2.7 million.
