Opposites may attract with these properties
The first, and largest property is at 14, Merlyn Lawn, Bishopstown, and it’s on offer at €650,000.
Located close to CUH and the Wilton Shopping centre, is has an ideal mid-village location and it’s a detached house with 2,000 square feet of space.
No 14 also has new wall and roof insulation, says Cronin, its guttering replaced and double-glazed windows installed throughout the house.
Then, there’s room in the attic, (which is walk-in and floored) which could make an ensuite to the master bedroom. All four double rooms are at first floor level, along with a main bathroom.
The ground floor has a lounge, separate dining room, kitchen and utility room with an integrated garage that could be converted as part of any refit.
Well-built and well taken care of, the gardens are also going to woo the buyer and are very private to the rear, with plenty of parking, along with a lawn, to the front.
Then, over on the Well Road, another four-bed house, Maywood, is offered through the same agent at €350,000.
This classic semi is a little bit sad, says TJ Cronin, and that’s why it’s pitched at the level it is, considering the ‘old’ Douglas address, he adds. At the moment it comes with a sitting room, dining room, den and kitchen, with four bedrooms and a bathroom overhead, but this could be re-arranged as part of a renovation, which will be required.
Again, the big draw here will be the large, private gardens which offer great privacy.
