Make Bureika your Eureka, give Green Park green light

DORMER semi-detached houses are a bit different from the usual suburban homes in Cork, and 1,200 sq ft home Bureika is, sure enough, just that — different.

Make Bureika your Eureka, give Green Park green light

Handily-set in Green Park, off Wilton Lawn, it ticks all the location boxes, but is a pretty fine home in any case as well, says Ann O’Mahony of Sherry FitzGerald.

It has a run of about 33’ front to back, through three rooms, to really give the impression of space, taking in a front and back reception rooms, linked via glazed double doors, and then out through a back kitchen extension as well.

Bureika, or No 6 Green Park, has off-street parking, a front lawn, and a private back garden, complete with block-built shed with proper pitched roof and double glazing, and this space can be used as a laundry/utility and home office.

No 6 has solid maple floors in its linked living and family rooms, with back-to-back corner fireplaces, the kitchen also features maple in its units and floor, and has double patio doors to the good sized and well-tended back garden.

Even though it is generally east facing, evening sun does manage to get in the back, says Ms O’Mahony. She seeks €360,000 for the house with one ground floor bedrooms and bathroom, and with a further two bedrooms (one en suite) overhead.

Set just off the Glasheen Road, near the Cork University Hospital, UCC and Wilton Shopping Centre, it is in walk-in condition, with oil central heating, an alarm and the recent upgrades includes rewiring.
