Kilcrea trims expectations on price front

HOW the mighty are falling — even addresses like the Rochestown Road in Cork city aren’t immune to the lack of cash in the economy.

A mature 2,300 sq ft classic Rochestown Road house recently (June) hit the market at a pragmatically priced €950,000 level. Having failed to get bidding going over the summer months, pragmatism is again the order of the day. A sizeable €100,000 has been lopped off the asking price for the four-bed Kilcrea at €850k.

“This is a great offer, a house like this in such a location for this sort of price,” notes Brian Olden of Cohalan Downing.
