Lower Blackrock price to attract buyer

A FOUR-BEDROOM semi-detached home in Blackrock, Cork for €310,000? The price level, manageable for some first-time buyers, but primarily an easy step up for traders-up out of smaller houses or apartments, means that estate agent Jarlath Boy of Savills is confident of finding a buyer for 72 Gate Lodge, off Cork’s Castle Road.

This property, vacated by a family who’ve made a job move to Dublin, first came up for sale this month last year, guiding €390,000. It didn’t find a buyer, and was taken off the market as a result.

Now vendors have slashed the price of their Cork home for a quick sale.

In very good overall condition, and with some nice contemporary design/decor touches, No 72 is now being offered for sale by a change of agents Savills, who say getting a modern Blackrock area four-bed for this price is now going to have real appeal.

It has amenity walks outside the Gate Lodge development, a restaurant coffee stop at Blackrock Castle, as well as the Marina for walks and boating.

Features include a 17’ deep living room, kitchen with archway to breakfast room and a west facing rear patio, as well as off-street parking.
